Chesterton's 1905 collection of twenty essays arguing against the leading opinions of his day, taking on Kipling, Shaw, Wells, George Moore and Whistler by name. He wrote it to attack what his contemporaries believed rather than how they wrote, and answered the critics who asked for his own position with Orthodoxy three years later.
