Letters on Literature
1889
Andrew Lang's 1889 book of familiar essays cast as letters to friends, on the writers he loved. Fielding, Longfellow, Virgil, Lucretius, Plotinus and Gerard de Nerval each get a letter, along with book-hunting and the pleasures of light verse.
