The book the Bronte sisters published at their own expense in 1846 under the names Currer, Ellis and Acton Bell. It sold two copies. Charlotte, Emily and Anne each contribute twenty-one poems, and Emily's are drawn from the Gondal cycle she had been writing privately for years.
