The Light Princess
1864
MacDonald's 1864 fairy tale. A king forgets to invite his sister to the christening, and she takes away the baby's gravity, so the princess floats to the ceiling, blows about in the wind and can laugh at anything. She is only herself in the lake, and when the lake begins to drain a prince finds the hole and the price of stopping it. Fifteen short chapters.
