The Moravians in Georgia, 1735-1740

Adelaide Fries's 1905 study of the short-lived Moravian settlement in Georgia between 1735 and 1740, written from the Brethren's own archives. The colony failed within five years, broken by the demand that its members bear arms against the Spanish, but on the voyage out its people had made the impression on John Wesley that shaped his conversion.
